| Serious lung disease can be treated with ED drug
Monday, November 21, 2005
Research conducted on erectile
dysfunction (ED) drug suggests that proper dosage of ED
drug Viagra (sildenafil) can improve exercise capacity and
functional ability in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension,
a serious disease involving high pressure in the blood vessels
that enter the lungs. Treatment with Viagra can lead to a
significant drop in lung blood pressure and an improvement
in functional ability.
Though it's a proven fact that Viagra's usage can lead to
side
effects such as flushing and diarrhea but there is no
doubt about the efficacy and safety of Viagra in the treatment
of patients with symptomatic pulmonary artery hypertension.
Thus, the magical drug
meant for treating erectile dysfunction can be beneficial
for lung patients to a large extent.
