  Levitra Promotions Via sports

Levitra believes in wooing users via sports. Undoubtedly, it is the macho sporty language which most men understand. Right from a sporty commercial, in which a middle-aged guy who has trouble tossing a football through a tire, ultimately succeeds after taking Levitra to sponsoring sporting events, Levitra is leaving no stone unturned. The sporty commercial is shown on many pro-football telecasts and designed to appeal to men because a lot of men like sports and watch football on T.V.

Lets see how this association with sports will fare!

LEVITRA Sponsored 'The 2003 Skins Game'

In a rush to make identity in the sports world, Levitra sponsored the 2003 SKINS GAME, one of golf's premier events.

The 21 st edition of the event televised during late November in 2003 was titled The LEVITRA SKINS GAME. Skin Game is one of the premiere Golf events in US that is telecasted live on TV. It has a massive viewer-ship as well. The SKINS GAME represents the first foray into golf for the Levitra brand. As the title sponsor - Levitra manufacturers (GSK & Bayer) had claimed a major stake in the existing Erectile Dysfunction medicine market.

"We are proud to be part of the SKINS GAME, one of the premier events in golf. It is an event rich in tradition that provides us with a unique opportunity to reach over 13 million men," Colin Foster, President, Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation had said.

The 2003 LEVITRA SKINS GAME saw Golf wizards like Annika Sörenstam, Fred Couples, Phil Mickelson and Mark O'Meara. The event was played at the Trilogy Golf Club in La Quinta, CA.

Levitra is presently sponsoring the premiere National Football League - one of the prime events in the US sports world.

Levitra for NFL Sponsorship
In July 2003, the National Football League authorities announced that LEVITRA - an ED brand medicine by Bayer & GSK will sponsor the league for three year. The multi-year sponsorship means that Levitra became only the first pharmaceutical product to sponsor such a massive event.

The favorite sport of America is watched by 120 million every week. By sponsoring this big event - Levitra can foray into the US household without much fuss. The whole idea is to tap the potential customers who are using the popular brand Viagra. While the third rival Cialis from Lily ICOS is also making a buzz in the US ED market.

During the entire event Levitra will sponsor 'play of the week' - the best try during the whole week. For the promotional purpose Levitra has also roped in the coach Mike Dikta as their brand promoter. During the entire NFL season - Levitra will air their ads on the television, continuously.

Bayer & GSK are following a well thought marketing strategy to gain the maximum market of the complicated US consumer market. Sponsoring NFL is a part of that well defined strategy that will help them in long run.

RAMS agreement makes Levitra team sponsor
NFL war-dogs St. Louis Rams have signed an agreement with pharmaceutical major Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as the sponsor of their team, it announced in September 2003. The agreement is with Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), who is the co-marketers of FDA-approved Levitra drug meant for ED treatment.

The agreement means Levitra will be the title sponsor of the St. Louis Rams teams for the coming three season. Bayer and GSK will have the opportunity to promote the Levitra brand in the Edward Jones Dome through signage, programs, broadcast and online media through the agreement, the team's release said.

The St. Louis Rams NFL franchise was relocated to St. Louis from Los Angeles in 1995 .
