Levitra- revolutionizing the Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile
disfunction is the inability to obtain and or maintain
a hard erect penis for sexual activity.
Major Causes of eractile dysfunction
- Liver or kidney failure
- Alcohol and tobacco use
- Brain or spinal-cord injuries
- Radiation therapy to the testicles
- Some types of prostate or bladder surgery
- Fatigue
For years, men had absolutely no choice but to accept erectile
dysfunction. Then, along came Viagra, and men could choose
to do something about it. Now, with the introduction of Levitra,
men now have a better choice.
The fact that Levitra
is an FDA approved medication, gives even more confidence.
About levitra
LEVITRA tablets contain the active ingredient vardenafil (present as vardenafil hydrochloride trihydrate) which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. These work by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis when you are sexually aroused. This allows blood to flow into the penis, allowing you to get an erection in the natural way.
LEVITRA has a rapid onset of action and four hour duration of response; men who take levitra may have an erection in response to sexual stimulation as early as 30 minutes and up to four hours after taking a levitra tablet.
LEVITRA will only work if you are sexually excited. It will not increase your sex drive.
LEVITRA is not approved for use in women.
LEVITRA tablets are not addictive
LEVITRA have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as well as by comparable regulatory agencies in Europe, Australia, and many other countries.
Doses
Your doctor or pharmacist will tell you how much and how often you should take LEVITRA. Follow the directions given to you by your doctor or pharmacist carefully. They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet.
The dose ranges from 5 mg to 20 mg. Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you depending on your age, condition and response.
Note-
- Do not take more than one dose of LEVITRA a day.
- Do not take LEVITRA if you are also taking or using nitroglycerin, (e.g., tablet, patch, or ointment dose forms) or other nitrates (e.g., isosorbide), nitroprusside (or any "nitric oxide donor" medicine), or recreational drugs called "poppers" containing amyl or butyl nitrate because very serious interactions may occur. If you are not sure whether a certain medicine is a nitrate, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Other options
If the medicines aren't right for you, you could also try
using vacuum pump devices, or you could have surgery. Your
doctor may send you to an urologist to talk about these options.
