Can impotency drugs cure erectile dysfunction in men?
Erectile
dysfunction seems to be the millennium problem for 40
million odd men. Every corner of the world would have tale
of woes in male potency. However, the scene slightly shifted
from worse to better ever since the launch of wonder potency
drugs like Viagra, Levitra,
and Cialis etc.
Impotence- what is it?
Erectile disfunction is the other name for impotence in men. As
the name suggests, it is the inability to achieve or sustain
an erection during sexual intercourse. The usual age group
suffering from erectile dysfunction is 45 years but at times
due to several health reasons the problem may arise earlier
than that.
What causes impotence or erectile dysfunction?
The factors can be both physical and psychological. Amongst the physical there are several health reasons like diabetes, nerve disorders, hormonal imbalances, cardio vascular diseases and genetic disorders that can affect potency of man. These health reasons tamper the thickness of the blood vessels and harden the walls of the arteries. They constrict the blood flow to the nerve endings in the penis and hence cause improper erection. Also, they damage at times the nerve endings of a penis and trigger erectile dysfunction. Other factors seem to kick out of unhealthy habits like smoking, alcoholism and drug addiction. Psychological reasons like stress and anxiety also affect general sexual health of men. Certain medication like the case of prescription medicines for blood pressure and depression cause impotence in men.
Impotence drugs These drugs primarily come under two categories: one that
is actual, patented and sold through advertising by the manufacturers
like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra etc. However, the manufacturers
at times in order to avoid advertising and research costs also
sell generic version of these drugs which are more popular to
the buyers due to cheap pricing like Generic Viagra, Generic
Cialis, Veega, Penegra, Caverta etc.
Could impotence drugs be suitable for all?
Unfortunately these drugs are not meant for all as they seem to affect health to a certain extent. They are recommended for usage only by experts like doctors who are specialized to treat erectile dysfunction (urologists) only after giving a clean chit to health. Hence impotence drugs are always sold as prescription drugs even if the pharmacies are online. For heart patients these drugs could prove fatal as the nitrates of the drugs can lower the blood pressure to a danger mark which can cause an attack and may even cause death in certain cases. So, patients on any kind of nitrate drugs like nitric oxide, nitroglycerine etc should never take impotence drugs.
Conclusion :
Men suffering from erectile dysfunction must not consider impotency drugs as an end to impotency. It is better to consult an urologist for curing impotency and seeking remedies that are best suited for health.
